Ficus lyrata Bambino ‘Ficus Fiddle leaf’
To create a tropical, jungle look in a compact flat or living space, how about this Dwarf Fiddle Leaf Fig? Unlike its 3-metre tall cousins, Bambino will slowly grow to a maximum height of about 1 metre. Most of the growth is vertical and focused around the central stalks. The big, fiddle-shaped leaves still retain the rainforest ambience, whilst taking up much less space than the taller, full-size varieties. These are easy plants to care for as long as you are careful with the watering. Only water once the compost is dry to touch, and make sure that the plant isn’t left standing in water. You can mist the leaves to increase the humidity – and occasionally wash the leaves with a damp sponge or cloth to keep them glossy.
