Platycerium bifurcatum ‘Staghorn fern’

Commonly referred to as ‘Staghorn’ or ‘Elkhorn’ due to this plants antler shaped foliage, this fern looks great when the fronds are long enough to begin to trail. You might think that being a fern, this Staghorn would prefer a low light environment, however this plant in particular is native to the Tropics and Australia, and as such this plant prefers bright indirect light. When watering the Staghorn its best to water from the bottom to avoid wetting the dried ‘shield fronds’ that form around the base of the plant. Keep the soil evenly moist.

Please note: All plants are unique and so may not appear exactly like that in the photos, but will be of a similar size and variety. Ceramic pot just for visual purpose, plant supplied in plastic nursery pot.
