Description
The Stephania Erecta is one of our more unusual houseplants that we sell at the Horticulture. It’s even a rare houseplant too so you don’t see many of them for sale. The Stephania Erecta can normally be found in Thailand.
It’s actually a caudex so it grows from a large bulb. The Stephania will go dormant at least once a year and the caudex should be kept completely dry in a cool dry spot. In January give the plant a good soak for 24 hours and then plant the caudex on top of the soil. After a few weeks, the plant will slowly wake up and you will have another beginning to grow.
The general care with these guys are simple! Treat them similar to a succulent or a cactus and you won’t go wrong with this plant. Position in a bright / indirect spot.
Please note: All plants are unique and so may not appear exactly like that in the photos, but will be of a similar size and variety. Ceramic pot just for visual purpose, plant supplied in plastic nursery pot.
